If Content is King, SEO is the tyrant Prince

Daniel Glickman

Every marketer knows that content is king. But I ask you: Why? Bill gates first made this term famous in 1996 when he used it to describe the emerging internet as a content marketplace.

When you think of it, everything on the internet is content. So what makes content King? Marketers often use the phrase to justify large investments in content creation when applied as part of a content marketing strategy. There is a lot to be said for creating a robust content experience that builds a brand and a relationship with it. But if I had to choose between Content marketing and SEO marketing, I’d chosen SEO marketing any day. Why? Because SEO brings direct, measurable results to the company’s P/L.

SEO is the tyrant prince because, when done right, it dictates to the reader what the solution they are searching for is. When people search google for a solution to their problem, they trust that the top results are credible and worthy. So, when your advice or solution appears at the top of the search results, people are more inclined to continue their journey with you.

SEO rules – Like a tyrant Prince.
